1911 HUDSON Model 33, 4-cyl.

HUDSON — MODEL 33 — FOUR: The Model 33 was an entirely new Hudson designed by Howard E. Coffin. As such it is usually accepted as the first of the true Hudson automobiles. Its monobloc engine had its intake and exhaust valves on opposite sides of the cylinder head and they were completely enclosed. The Model 33's clutch with its cork facings was enclosed in an oil filled unit along with its disc. This was expensive to manufacture but it soon gave the Model 33 a deserved reputation for smooth operation.
