1913 HUDSON Model 54, 6-cyl.

HUDSON — MODEL 54 — SIX: The Model 54 introduced Hudson's new 6-cylinder engine. Its success enabled Hudson to both proclaim itself “the world's largest producer of six-cylinder automobiles” and declare in Aug. 1913 a stock dividend of 100%. The 6-cylinder Hudson's top speed was approximately 65 mph and it could reach 58 mph in 30 seconds. With the 127 inch wheelbase the Model 54 was easily set apart from the Model 37 line. Both Model 37 and Model 54 were equipped with a Delco starting system in place of the older and less-efficient Disco acetylene-gas unit.
