1914 HUDSON Model 40, 6-cyl.

1914 HUDSON Model 40, 6-cyl.

HUDSON — MODEL SIX-40 — SIX: Hudson was strictly a manufacturer of 6-cylinder automobiles in 1914 and while the new Six-40 Series was larger than the 4-cylinder models they replaced, their prices were reduced. The new engine's dimensions of 3-1/2 inch bore and 5 inch stroke pointed towards future American practice and offered both better fuel economy and more power than the old 4. Appearance changes included enclosed hinges on all models and a reshaped radiator with smooth curves.
