HUDSON — SUPER SIX — SERIES 9 — SIX: Hudson moved out of the post war sales depression in a strong fashion. In July price reductions ranging from $50 to $100 were announced and company president Roy D. Chapin reported that “the volume of shipment is now so great that certain savings have been effected in costs, and the public is to be given the benefit.” Stockholders also received a share of Hudson's renewed prosperity since in Sept. a dividend of 50$ per share in non-par and $2.50 per share on par capital stock was declared. Although the new Essex coach captured the bulk of the public's attention, Hudson also introduced this new body style. During the first portion of the model year new drum shaped headlights were adopted. Among the second line of Super Sixes for 1922 which debuted in May 1922 was a sedan with a Biddle & Smart body.
