1923 HUDSON Super Six, 6-cyl.

HUDSON — SUPER SIX — SIX: Except for minor detail modifications which were incorporated as running changes during the year the 1923 Hudsons were virtually identical to the 1922 models. Among these revisions were the use of McKee “Spreadlight” headlight lenses, plus an extended length, 28″ gear shift. This was an extremely profitable year for Hudson. Its fiscal year profits totalled nearly $14.5 million, up from the $12.6 million level of the previous year. Twice during the year the company declared an extra 254 dividend in addition to the regular 504 dividend. The Hudson Motor Car Company also made some significant changes in its top level management structure. Roy D. Chapin, after serving as president for 13 years became chairman of the board. His successor was Roscoe B. Jackson. Replacing Jackson as vice-president and treasurer was William J. McAneeny.
