HUDSON — MAJOR EIGHT — SERIES L — EIGHT: Production of Hudsons reached its nadir in 1933. Only 2,401 were assembled in spite of more attractive styling and significant engineering improvements. The Series L on a 132″ wheelbase had a more luxurious interior than the Standard Eight. Aside from their greater length the Major Eight Hudsons were distinguished from the Standard Eights by their wide running board trim, and dual chromed horns mounted on each side of the grille. After losing $5,429,350 in 1932 Hudson experienced another loss of $4,409,903 on sales of $23,521,458 in 1933.
