PONTIAC — ECONOMY EIGHT — SERIES 601: The 1933 Pontiacs had a new straight eight plus many styling and technical changes. A new Fisher body with beaver tail rear styling was used. There was a slanting, V-type radiator with vertical bars. The hood had four wide, slanting louvers back towards the cowl. Valanced front fenders gave a streamlined look. There was an airplane type instrument panel on the left and glove compartment on the right of the dash. Pontiacs were made in five different assembly plants. The hood ornament was a brave's head in a circle with a round base.
