1939 STUDEBAKER Model 5C, State President Eight

STUDEBAKER — STATE PRESIDENT — SERIES 5C — EIGHT: The State Presidents were larger and heavier than the Commanders, but looked about the same. The name President was on the hood sides, near the cowl seam (above the lower trim moldings.) The bumper identification also read, “Studebaker President.” Standard equipment included everything listed for Commanders plus/or except Delco Remy ignition and dual horns. Also, the Houdaille shock absorbers, on cars in this line, were built into the independent front springing system.
