1940 HUDSON Super Series 41

HUDSON — OVERVIEW FOR ALL 1940 MODELS — Hudson's styling was extensively revised for 1940. The almond shaped head lights of 1939 gave way to circular sealed beam units although the shape of the headlight frame and the positioning of the parking lights directly below the main lamps gave both arrangements a similar appearance. The Hudson's grille form which had been steadily evolving towards a strictly horizontal design for several years took another strong step in that direction as a two section arrangement with horizontal bars was adopted. Additional horizontal bars ran the length of the body adding an impression of low built and fleet-ness. At the rear a larger, single piece window was adopted. All models were offered with or without running boards at no extra cost.
