1941 STUDEBAKER Champion Custom

STUDEBAKER — CHAMPION — SERIES 3G — SIX — More streamlined bodies, designed by Raymond Lowey, were used on Champions this year. The cars were lower and longer, with a more massive front end appearance. Center grilles were eliminated. Low, die-cast grilles with multiple vertical bars were mounted in the front fender aprons on each side of the car. The nose was decorated with a large chrome emblem bearing the Studebaker “S” insignia. Twin chrome moldings ran from the hood peak to the upper rear quarters, tapering together as they moved back along the body. On DeLuxe-Tone models the area between the moldings were done in contrasting colors. Wider seats (54-1/4 inches front and 48 inches rear) were used in Champions. Standard equipment was the same as 1940, plus dual taillights. Custom Deluxe models also had dual wipers, sun visors and horns, front door arm rests and.chrome instrument board moldings. ...
