STUDEBAKER — CHAMPION — SERIES 4-G — SIX: The 1942 Champions had extensive body styling changes. There were wider, more massive bumpers up front, with a built in license plate assembly. The grille stretched completely across the front of the cars with large, round parking lamp assemblies at either side. Cross-hatching horizontal and vertical bars filled the grille on either side of a vertical center member. There was a large Studebaker emblem on the nose and a chrome hood ornament and molding along the center of the hood. Standard equipment included a speedometer, gas gauge, thermometer, ignition lock, wiper, spring covers, dual taillamps, one sun visor, a horn, double-acting shock absorbers and Budd steel disc wheels.
