1947 STUDEBAKER Champion, 6-cyl., 112" wb

CHAMPION — MODEL 6G — The Deluxe Champion was Studebaker's low-priced model. The Regal Deluxe trim version featured stainless steel windshield trim and stainless steel rocker panel moldings. The Deluxe version did not feature these items. The Champion's stainless steel grille was suspended in the radiator opening. The horizontal taillights were divided into two sections. A model identification script was located in the center of the instrument panel. All-new styling by Raymond Loewy and Virgil Exner featured front fenders flush with body. The 1947 Champion was introduced in May 1946.
