CROSLEY — (FOUR) — SERIES CD — Crosley Motors introduced its restyled 1949 cars in November, 1948. All of the cars had new front end sheet metal. The hood had a broader, flared appearance and its forward edge extended down to the top of a new radiator grille with horizontal blades that ran across the front of the car. A Crosley shield medallion decorated the nose along with a new type of hood mascot. The front fenders took on a revised shape with the headlights integrated into the forward end. The wheel openings were reshaped. A feature line curved forward to upper grille bar level and then ran honzontally to the door break line. Chrome ornaments were placed atop the fenders At the rear, a new wheel opening shape was also seen and a feature line was used to more clearly define the fender shape, except on station wagons.
