HUDSON PACEMAKER — SERIES 500 — SERIES 50A DELUXE — A shorter Hudson was Hudson's new ‘baby’ in 1950. This Pacemaker was not much smaller than conventional styles, but seemed to be back then. It had the season's new look, which included a grille with four horizontal blades widening as they neared the bumper and twin struts forming a triangle with a company medallion at the top. Though only the grille was drastically changed, all the cars seemed lower. Basic equipment on all models included Durafab plastic interior trims; 18-inch steering wheel; twin, adjustable visors; full opening rear quarter windows for Club Coupes; new, two-piece curved Full-View windshield; front dome lamp; lockable parcel compartment; large trunk with mat and horizontal spare and a rearview mirror.
