1950 STUDEBAKER Champion, 6-cyl., 113" wb

CHAMPION — MODEL 9G — A bullet-nose' front end and rear fenders that supported vertical taillights were new for 1950. The central body section was unchanged. The model identification was on the front fenders. Small headlight trim rings were used on Champions. Starting in midyear, these rings were chrome plated on Deluxe and Regal Deluxe trim lines. A low-priced Custom model was introduced at midyear. A new Automatic Drive was introduced as an option during midyear. A growing buyer's market reduced prices from 1949 and during the year they were reduced again. Available body types were the same as 1949. There was no hood ornament on Custom models. Stainless steel rocker panel moldings were standard on Regal Deluxe models.
