STANDARD/DELUXE 88 SERIES — This series was also known as the 88-A series and was almost identical to the 1950 Eighty-Eight series. Near the end of the model year, 88-A production was dropped altogether and the car disappeared from later editions of the 1951 catalog. Gone for 1951 was the long running inline six-cylinder engine. Two body styles were offered. Standard features included: bumper guards, cigarette lighter, dome light, rubber floor mats, stainless steel moldings and lined trunk. Deluxe cars had foam seat cushions, rear ashtrays and stainless steel gravel shields. Upholstery choices were nylon or nylon cord. Standard tire size was 7.60 × 15 inches.
