1960 AMC Rebel Super, V-8

RAMBLER REBEL — (v-8) — SERIES 20 — Rebels had the same general styling changes as Rambler sixes. They included lower, canted fins; convex rear fenders; grille with two rows of cellular grids; side trim revisions; and deletion of hood ornaments. Rambler sales features for 1960 included single unit-body construction; deep-dip rustproofing; deep coil spring ride; self-adjusting brakes (optional); push-button automatic gear shift selection (optional), and ‘Air Liner’ reclining seats (optional). Rebel V-8 emblems appeared on front fenders again this year. A new base powerplant was used. The former 215-hp four-barrel V-8 (with standard dual exhaust) became optional.
