RAMBLER CLASSIC — (6-CYL) — SERIES 6210-The 1962 Rambler Classic Six had all but the smallest trace of tailfins removed from the rear end. There were new, round taillights, a new front grille and new side trim and moldings. The die-cast aluminum block was standard on all Classic Sixes and optional on the Custom and Deluxe lines. Other innovations for the year were a new brake system with tandem master cylinder and a hydraulic tilting front seat. Standard equipment for the Classic Six Deluxe series included turn signal, air cleaner, front armrests, cigar lighter, dual headlamps, dual sun visors, station wagon travel rack, front ashtrays, oil filter, front foam cushion, and five black tubeless tires. The Classic Six Custom series had all the above features plus electric clock, glovebox light, carpets, rear armrests, rear ashtrays, dual horns and automatic dome light switch.
