IMPALA — SERIES 1700 (6-CYL) — SERIES 1800 (V-8) — The separation of Impala Super Sport models into their own series made the regular Impala the second most expensive Chevrolet line for 1964. Standard equipment included most features found on lower-priced lines, plus extra-thick foam cushion seats; bright aluminum front seat end panels; bright instrument panel insert with name-plate molding; electric clock; parking brake warning light; Impala center emblem on steering wheel; chrome-backed rearview mirror; specific paddle-type front and rear armrests (with fingertip door release lever); dual dome lights; bright windshield, rear window and upper side window interior garnish moldings; and an automatic luggage compartment light.
