1965 AMC Ambassador

RAMBLER AMBASSADOR-(6-CYL)-SERIES 80-The 1965 Ambassador had a totally new front end with a four-inch longer wheelbase than Classics. The front featured vertical, quad headlamps and a grille of numerous horizontal bars that ‘veed’ slightly outwards along the horizontal plane. Bright metal side trim ran from the rear along the top edge of the body and around the front of the car (crossing the grille). The taillamps wrapped around the body corners and could be seen from both the rear and the side. A convertible, four-door sedans, station wagons, two-door sedans and hardtops were offered in specific lines. A new Ambassador Six marked the first time since 1956 that a six-cylinder engine had been offered in Ambassadors.
