RAMBLER AMERICAN — (6-CYL) — SERIES 01 — The 1965 Rambler American retained the same basic styling as in 1964. The front horizontal bar grille now had indentations made in it. This gave the appearance that it was divided into three parts. Rocker panel moldings were added to all lines, except ‘220s’. New chrome side trim was also used on all but ‘220’ models, which did not have bodyside moldings. Standard equipment on ‘220’ models included turn signals; heavy-duty lights; front armrests; dual sun visors; rubber floor mats; front foam seat cushions', front seat belts; one front ashtray; dome or pillar lamps; Fresh-Air ventilation; two coat hooks; 60-amp battery and blue/green panel illumination.
