RAMBLER CLASSIC — (6-CYL) — SERIES 10 — Rambler Classics received a completely restyled front end for 1965, plus new rear end sheet metal. The front featured new fenders and a grille having ‘veed-out’ horizontal bars, with three vertical division bars that created four sections. Dual horizontal headlamps flanked the grille on either side. The rear was squared-off and had wraparound, rectangular taillamps. Three trim levels were provided: ‘550’, ‘660’ and 770'. Five body styles were offered, including a new convertible. Standard equipment on ‘550’ models included front armrests; dual visors; cigar lighter; one front ashtray; rubber floor covering (and trunk mat); front foam seat cushions; dome or pillar lights; front seat belts; Fresh Air ventilation; station wagon luggage rack; two coat hooks; 60-amp battery; and blue/green panel lighting.
