CHEVELLE 300 — (6-CYL/V-8) — SERIES 131/132 — Chevelles were mildly restyled for their second year. The nose was veed slightly outward and a new grille was used. At the rear were new taillamps. 300 models had lower body sill moldings; Chevelle 300 rear fender nameplates and emblems; bright ventipanes; windshield and rear window reveal moldings; single unit taillamps with bright bezels; rear bumper back-up light opening covers; and small hubcaps. Interiors were pattern cloth and vinyl trim (all vinyl on station wagons) in a standard grade, with vinyl floor covering. Standard equipment included heater and defroster; front foam cushions; electric windshield wipers; front seat belts; and five 6.95 × 14 blackwall tires (station wagons had 7.35 × 14 blackwall tires).
