RAMBLER AMERICAN — (SIX) — SERIES 01 — The 1966 American was redesigned It had a squared-off front end. The 330 models and the old 196.5-cid overhead valve six were dropped. A new top-of-the-line model, called the Rambler Rogue, was introduced. Rear taillamps were larger. At the Chicago Automobile Show, in mid-season, a new 290-cid overhead valve V-8 was announced and a four-speed manual transmission was introduced.
