TORONADO — In its third year, the Toronado received a mild restyling. There was also an optional, high-performance version. This special extra-cost package, RPO W34, included: 455 cid/400 hp V-8 with special cam and valve springs, performance-calibrated Turbo-Hydra-Matic 425, cold air induction, low restriction exhaust and RPO Y70 paint stripes. Standard Toronado equipment included: Turbo-Hydramatic transmission, electric clock, carpets, concealed headlamps, special headliner, fiberglass hood insulation, courtesy lamp package, chrome molding package, foam padded seat cushions, rolling dial speedometer, power steering, Deluxe steering wheel, power brakes, trunk floor carpeting, torsion bar front suspension and door-opening assist springs.
