1974 AMC Matador

MATADOR- (SIX/V-8) — SERIES 10 — AMC drastically restyled the Matador two-door coupe. Sedans and wagons had modest changes with new grilles and front/rear bumpers. A big difference in appearance was the dropping of the integrated bumper/grille for a centrally divided unit with vertical louvers, square headlamp surrounds with Argent silver finish; round parking lamps mounted in grille (inboard of headlights) and Matador lettering on the left-hand hood lip. The front bumper was a shelf-like affair with center license plate indent flanked by rubber-faced bumper guards. Side trim on the sedans and wagons consisted of a thin, straight, three-quarter length molding. It ran from behind the front wheel opening to above the rear side marker light.
