1975 AMC Gremlin, V-8

GREMLIN — (SIX/V-8) — SERIES 40 — The Gremlin was basically unchanged for 1975. Standard equipment was the same as the previous year, plus electronic ignition system. Mechanical detail changes included a sturdier manual transmission and the optional availability of overdrive combined with six-cylinder attachments only. Also provided again, at extra cost, were the Levi's, Rally and Gremlin ‘X’ packages. The ‘hockey stick’ striping pattern was carried over on cars so-equipped. New body colors and radial-ply tires could be added. A slightly cleaner looking front bumper was used. Its upper edge had a single-bevel appearance, compared to the triple-bevel 1974 type. Also, the sail panel windsplit indentations were now in a slanted, vertical position and the flared wheel treatment was more subdued.
