1976 AMC Matador, V-8

MATADOR (COUPE) — SERIES 10 — SIX/V-8 — Starting in 1975, the stylish mid-size Matador coupe stood apart from the four-door sedan and wagon with a different wheelbase and series number. For 1976, the coupe gained a new full-width, two-section grille that extended out to the fender tips, below the huge headlamp openings. Amber parking lights were rectangular. The Brougham package included individual reclining seats in “Hunter's Plaid” fabric, custom door trim panels, woodgrain dash overlay, full carpeting, wheel discs, hood paint stripes, bumper nerfing strips, rocker moldings, roll-down quarter windows, full length bodyside scuff moldings, wheel lip and grille moldings.
