1976 OLDSMOBILE Cutlass Supreme, V-8

CUTLASS S/SUPREME - SERIES 3A - SIX/V-8 - The Cutlass name encompassed quite a few midsize Oldsmobile models, with varying appearances and characteristics. The list included Cutlass S, Cutlass Supreme, Cutlass Salon and new Cutlass Supreme Brougham. The 1975 base model was dropped, making S the base level. Two distinct coupe styles were available: sporty fastback Cutlass S, with new sloping front end; and formal-look Cutlass Supreme, Supreme Brougham and Salon. New front ends featured wide horizontal parking/signal lamps below the quad rectangular headlamps. Hoods and front fenders also were new. Bodies were referred to as “Colonnade” hardtops. Cutlass S had a bold, vertical-bar twin-section grille design in the sloping front-end panel.
