1976 OLDSMOBILE Omega, V-8

OMEG A/F85 - SERIES 3X - SIX/V-8 - Joining the low-budget F85 and base compact Omega this year was a new Brougham (replacing the former Salon). Vertical rectangular parking lamps were now mounted outboard of a new full-width, chrome-plated grille. That grille had many narrow vertical bars, split into four side-by-side sections. A wider bright vertical bar in the center had an Oldsmobile emblem, and script went on lower driver's side of the grille. Single round headlamps had square housings. A bumper slot was visible between the front guards. On the cowl was ‘Omega’ script. Omega SX had an ‘SX’ decal on the lower cowl. The rear-end panel between the taillamps was restyled to give a full-width look (except F85). Omegas carried six passengers.
