1976 OLDSMOBILE Toronado, V-8

TORONADO — SERIES 3E — V-8 — The front-wheel-drive Toronado's revised look included grille bars with a wide chrome face, new gold/black stand-up hood ornament, and bodyside moldings to complement the body color. Toro's carburetion, ignition and EGR systems were calibrated to improve economy and driveability. New this year: a semi-automatic leveling system. The grille consisted of just two horizontal bars, low on the front end, below a deep hood front panel with ‘Toronado’ block lettering. Vertical park/signal lamps stood at fender tips, separate from the quad rectangular headlamps. Twin bumper slots were below the headlamps, outboard of the guards. At the rear tips of quarter panels, where taillamp lenses seemed appropriate, were body-color segments and an ornamental emblem.
