1977 OLDSMOBILE Starfire, V-6

STARFIRE — SERIES 3H — FOUR/V-6 — The Starfire had a new grille with vertical ports, along with a larger emblem between grille sections. Vertical slots made up the grille pattern in the sloping body-color front panel, which was upright at the front. Block lettering replaced the former Oldsmobile script. Deeply recessed, quad rectangular headlamps again were mounted in a soft plastic front-end panel, which flexed with the energy-absorbing front bumper. Amber park/signal lamps were below the bumper. Wide wraparound taillamps came to a sharp point on quarter panels, with small backup lenses at inner ends of each taillamp. The rear hatchback lifted to reveal a carpeted load floor. A space-saver spare tire (with inflator bottle) fit in the right rear quarter well, concealed by a soft trim tire cover.
