1979 AMC Concord, V-8

CONCORD — SERIES 01 — FOUR/SIX/V-8 — Front end styling changed appreciably on the compact, luxurious Concord, with wide clear parking/signal lights setting below quad rectangular headlamps. The restyled formal grille was considerably taller, with seven vertical bars. Bright aluminum bumpers had black end caps and guards. Standard engine remained the 232 cu. in. six, but a 258 six, 304 V-8 and 121 four were all optional. Four-speed manual floor shift was standard; column-shift automatic transmission optional. Concords now came in three trim levels: base, D/L, and Limited (no Limited for the hatchback body).
