CONCORD — SERIES 01 — FOUR/SIX — AMC's compact gained a new horizontal-bar grille for 1980, with quad rectangular headlamps and big full-width wraparound taillamps. ‘Concord’ badges sat at the side of the grille, as well as the trailing edge of the front fenders and the trunk lid. Only the front-fender amber reflectors remained. New, distinctive opera windows on DL Concords added both elegance and visibility for rear passengers. A four-cylinder 151 cu. in. Pontiac engine was now standard, with the 258 six optional. In addition to the basic body colors, Concords came in Dark Green metallic. Added to the option list: six-way power seats, automatic-leveling air shocks, power windows, and power deck lid release. Wagons could now have a rear window wiper/washer.
