PACER — SERIES 60 — SIX — Striking and innovative when it first appeared in 1975, Pacer sales never met expectations; so it was dropped after 1980. As before, the top two rows of the four-row grille bulged up into the hood area. Subdued blackout vertical grille elements were dominated by the horizontal bars. Pacer was the only AMC model that never received quad headlamps. DL Pacers came equipped with individual reclining seats in Sport vinyl, woodgrain-accent door trim panels, woodgrain instrument panel overlays, custom steering wheel with woodgrain accents, 12-ounce color-keyed full carpeting, rear seat armrests and ashtray, day/night mirror, clock courtesy lights, key warning buzzer, locking glovebox, extra-quiet insulation, and dual note horns.
