1980 CHRYSLER LeBaron, V-8

LEBARON — SERIES F — SIX/V-8 — A new grille made up of thin, close-together vertical strips was split in two by a wide vertical divider between the sections. Distinctive quad parking/signal lamps sat directly above quad rectangular headlamps and wrapped over fender tops. Above the grille was an eagle hood ornament. Amber-over-clear side marker lenses stood just ahead of each front wheel opening angled to follow its shape. A ‘LeBaron’ nameplate was just ahead of the door. Narrow vertical red lenses sat above backup lamps at quarter panel tips, while wide taillamps with center emblems reached the license plate opening. LeBaron had sharper fenderline creases this year, as well as a revised, more squared-off roofline. Two-door models shrunk in length, now riding on a 108.7 inch wheelbase rather than the 112.7 inch platform used by sedans and wagons.
