1980 OLDSMOBILE Ninety-Eight, V-8

NINETY-EIGHT — SERIES 3C — V-8 — Ninety-Eight restyling paralleled the Delta 88, with softened side feature lines and aerodynamic improvements. Each side of the split eggcrate grille contained a 5 × 4 pattern. Quad headlamps extended outward into wraparound marker lenses. Wide park/signal lamps were bumper-mounted. Cornering lamps were mounted low on the front fenders. ‘Ninety Eight’ script went on the cowl, just below the bodyside molding. Vertical taillamps sat at quarter-panel tips. Three models were offered: Luxury sedan, and Regency coupe and sedan. Standard equipment included fender skirts, a 307 cubic inch (5.0-liter) V-8 engine with four-barrel carb, automatic transmission, P215/75R15 steel-belted radial tires, bumper guards and impact strips, dual remote-control mirrors, power windows and driver's seat, rocker panel and wheel opening moldings and electric clock.
