1981 OLDSMOBILE Ninety-Eight, V-8

NINETY-EIGHT — SERIES 3C — V-6/V-8 -The Ninety-Eight's front-end appearance was similar to Delta 88, but the grille had two vertical and one horizontal bar on each side, over a tight Crosshatch pattern. That gave each side six major sections, with a recessed eggcrate design. The rear end carried a small decklid spoiler. Taillamps were much narrower than 88's. Three models were available: Luxury sedan, and Regency coupe or sedan. Standard Ninety-Eight equipment included a 252 cubic inch (4.1-liter) V-8 and four-speed automatic overdrive transmission, power brakes and steering, power windows, bumper guards and impact strips, electric clock, fender skirts, dome reading lamp and remote-controi outside mirrors.
