1981 OLDSMOBILE Toronado Brougham, V-8

TORONADO — SERIES 3E — V-6/V-8 — The front-drive Toronado was little changed. The Brougham coupe was the standard model, with sporty XSC package available. As before, the grille extended the entire width of the car. Park and turn lamps were hidden behind the grille, below the quad rectangular headlamps. Long horizontal taillamps and backup lamps extended from the decklid's edge to the license plate opening. A total of 3,959 XSC packages (RPO code Y78) were installed. Toronado's standard equipment included a 252 cubic inch (4.1-liter) V-8 and automatic transmission, automatic level control, power brakes and steering, air conditioning, bumper guards and impact strips, digital clock, side window defogger, power windows and door locks and halogen headlamps.
