CUTLASS CIERA — SERIES 3A — FOUR/V-6 — As advertised, this aerody-namically-styled GM A-body compact was the first Cutlass model with front-wheel drive. Ciera's twin-section grille had an eggcrate pattern (5×6 hole arrangement) similar to Omega's on each side of the wide center divider panel, which held an Oldsmobile emblem. Framework around the recessed quad rectangular headlamps continued around the front fender sides to enclose clear/amber marker lenses. Thin horizontal park/signal lamps were mounted right along the bumper rub strip. At the rear were large wraparound taillamps. Ciera came in base, Brougham and LS trim. Brougham coupes and sedans had a divided front seat with loose-pillow look. At the cowl was a small multi-color international-style decorative panel, below a ‘Cutlass Ciera’ nameplate.
