EAGLE — SERIES 30 — FOUR/SIX — Senior Eagles lost several models this year: the two-door sedan, and the Limited four-door. Standard engine was the familiar 151 cu. in. four with four-speed manual shift; the 258 six was optional, along with five-speed overdrive gearbox or floor-shift automatic. At mid-year, a new AMC-built four, measuring 150 cu. in., replaced the Pontiac “Iron Duke.” Base Eagles were well equipped, including armrests, Alpine fabric headliner/visors, digital clock, trunk and cargo area carpeting, day/night rearview mirror, dome light, locking glove compartment, a custom woodgrain steering wheel, woodgrain instrument panel, bumper nerf strips, wheel opening and rocker panel moldings, and chrome remote-control left mirror.
