1983 OLDSMOBILE Cutlass Supreme, V-8

CUTLASS SUPREME — SERIES 3G — V-6/V-8 — Changes on the midsize rear-drive Cutlass focused on the grille, which, as usual, differed from model to model. Coupes had new sloping-forward rectangular-patterned grilles with bright vertical bars and recessed horizontal bars. The grille followed the sharply-split angle of the front panel, which contained an identification name-plate below the left headlamp. Sedans and wagons had a new upright square-pattern grille, and their rectangular headlamp framing extended outward to meet wraparound marker lenses. Coupes had no such side markers. Six models were offered: Supreme and Supreme Brougham coupe and sedan, Calais coupe and Cutlass Cruiser wagon. Calais had a unique look with black headlamp doors, amber parking lamp lenses and standard paint striping. Optional Calais bodyside moldings were black.
