1983 OLDSMOBILE Firenza, 4-cyl.

FIRENZA — SERIES 3J — FOUR — Appearance changed little in Firenza's second season. The five-passenger, front-wheel-drive GM J-body subcom-pact came in six models, including two new wagons: Cruiser and LX Cruiser. Standard wagon equipment included a tailgate-ajar warning lamp. Wagon options included rear wiper/washer, two-tone paint, simulated woodgrain and accent stripe. All Firenzas had a standard floor console and reclining front bucket seats, as well as a fold-down rear seat. Split-folding rear seats were available in coupe or wagon. Standard seat trim was vinyl or cloth, with deluxe trim available in velour. New standard engine was the 122 cubic inch (2.0-liter) four with TBI, with four-speed manual transmission. It was actually the original 1.8-liter powerplant from Chevrolet, but stroked to reach the larger displacement. Five-speed manual and three-speed automatic were available.
