1983 OLDSMOBILE Omega, V-6

OMEGA — SERIES 3X — FOUR/V-6 — A tighter Crosshatch pattern (6×12 hole arrangement) replaced the former looser design on Omega's eggcrate grille, but otherwise appearance was similar to 1982. Aerodynamic patch mirrors, with housings faired into the door window surrounds, replaced chrome mirrors. The standard driver's mirror was black; optional dual mirrors were body-color. Rear-end appearance was the same as 1982. Four models were offered: coupe and sedan, in base or Brougham trim. Inside was a new two-tone instrument panel. Brushed pewter or brushed bronze complemented the interior color. New side-window defoggers went in the radio speaker grilles and front defroster grilles. A rocker headlamp control replaced the former push-pull switch, and a headlamp-on warning was standard. Standard bench seats now had low backs and separate headrests, and a fold-down armrest.
