(Renault) ALLIANCE — SERIES 90 — FOUR — After a strong start in the marketplace, Alliance changed little for its second year — though its price rose in several jumps. External niceties included blackout rocker panels and a black grille (with bright surround). Inside, a day/night mirror became standard on the base model, which wore P155/80GR13 blackwall tires. L models added dual accent pin stripes, bright grille and hub covers, and childproof rear door locks. DL rocker/recliner seats now held Lucerne fabric upholstery, while DL dashes contained low-fuel and oil level gauges. Calais fabric upholstery went on Limited rocker/recliner seats, which also offered hood pin stripes, a blackout lower back panel, and bright decklid luggage rack.
