1984 OLDSMOBILE Toronado Brougham

TORONADO — SERIES 3E — V-6/V-8 — A new Caliente package was available for upscale Toronado customers. Caliente had a padded landau roof and stainless steel crown molding, accented with Toronado emblem. A full-length, bright bodyside molding highlighted the car's feature line. Bodysides also had a wide, ridged lower molding. Standard equipment included dual electric remote mirrors, locking wire wheel covers, leather-wrapped sport steering wheel and electronic instrument panel cluster. Leather seat trim was standard, sheepskin inserts optional. A total of 5,007 Caliente (RPO code WJ8) packages were installed. All Toronados had a revised front end. The new grille contained bright horizontal bars, with a color-coordinated band running the full width of the front end. Unlike earlier models, park and turn signal lamps were exposed this year.
