1985 OLDSMOBILE Delta 88 Royale, V-8

DELTA 88 — SERIES 3B — V-6/V-8 — As usual, Delta 88 featured a new grille, with four rows on each side. New at the rear were elongated backup lamps between the taillamps and license plate. Brougham and Brougham LS models were offered, the latter with a 4 × 5 “hole” eggcrate pattern grille. The Buick-built 231 cubic inch (3.8-liter) V-6 remained standard. Optional was a 307 cubic inch (5.0-liter) gas fueled V-8, now with roller lifters, and a 5.7-liter diesel. Added standard equipment included an AM/FM stereo radio and all-season SBR tires. The Custom Cruiser wagon was again available (V-8 powered). Standard 88 equipment included three-speed automatic, power brakes/steering, custom cloth bench seat, AM/FM stereo radio, bumper guards and rub strips, left remote mirror and woodgrain dash.
