1987 BUICK Regal, Turbo V-6

REGAL - SERIES 4G - V-6/V-8 - The Regal retained its rear wheel drivetrain for 1987. Three versions were offered: Regal, Limited and Grand National. Three performance packages were available. The Regal Grand National was its turbocharged and intercooled engine equipped with sequential-port fuel injection (SFI) was one of the fastest accelerating cars built in the United States. It was easily identified by its blacked-out exterior. Standard on the Grand National was a firm Gran Touring suspension. The other Regal coupes could be ordered with the T-Package as well as an Exterior Sport Package consisting of aluminum alloy wheels and Eagle GT blackwall tires. It was also possible to order the Turbo Package for any Regal coupe. The Turbo engine's SFI was developed by Buick and the Bosch firm of Germany.
