1987 OLDSMOBILE Ninety-Eight, V-6

NINETY-EIGHT REGENCY — SERIES 3C — V-6 — Ninety-Eight was Oldsmobile's luxury flagship model with a lineup that consisted of a base sedan and both Brougham and Grande coupe and sedan versions. The base coupe was dropped for 1987. Mid-year, a Touring Sedan based on the Regency four-door sedan was released. This specialty model featured subdued trim and specific ornamentation. Clear fog lamps were housed in the front valance, which also, served as an air dam. Interior appointments featured a leather-wrapped steering wheel and leather-trimmed door panels with genuine walnut burl armrest trimplates. Walnut trim was also featured on the floor-mounted four-speed automatic transmission and analog instrument gauge cluster. The entire Ninety-Eight lineup received a more distinctive frontal appearance comprised of a new grille, front end panel and side marker lamps.
