1988 OLDSMOBILE Toronado, V-6

TORONADO — SERIES 3E — V-6 — Oldsmobile's personal luxury car, Toronado and Trofeo models returned in 1988 with a new front end appearance to enhance its aerodynamic design. Headlamp covers were more pronounced and carried a wrap-around design into the side marker lamps. New features on the Toronado included a change oil message added to the message center, a new defogger directing warm air to the windshield and floor was integrated into the climate control system, climate control and radio control buttons were enlarged and a “wet arm” windshield wiper system was added. Optional on the Toronado and Trofeo was anti-lock brakes. Standard powertrain for the Toronado and Trofeo was the 3800 3.8-liter V-6 coupled to a four-speed automatic transmission.
